Cold Treats
It’s Hot.
Like, really hot.
And you’ve been at Silver Dollar City/Table Rock Lake/The Landing/(choose your own adventure) ALL DAY LONG.
You need something cold…but not stiff.
Here’s three excellent choices for a cool treat before you sit in the air conditioner and take a well-deserved nap.
Andy’s Frozen Custard in Branson, MO: Andy’s has locations in Springfield and beyond. This local favorite comes with great memories and big smiles. I dare you to eat an Ozark Turtle without saying “Mmmmm”. Andy’s encourages you to be “A Kid For Awhile”, which makes their Branson location convenient: next door is the Track Family Fun Park. Long lines are expected in the summer months, but they’re open late to make sure everyone gets a turn! The lesson to be learned from your visit to Andy’s is to eat frozen custard, stay up late, and ride go-carts, right?!
Pop’s Dari Deli in Reed Springs, MO: This is a Reed Springs’s staple. At Pop’s, the twist is king and worthy of the hype. They boast a five star rating on Tripadvisor, Yelp, and Facebook! Incredible service and incredibly cold ice cream (not just the twist) to top off your day. This is old school, folks! Enjoy your ice cream on one of the picnic tables, or if you just can’t handle it, they’ve got some A/C for you too!
The Creamery at College of the Ozarks-Keeter Center: This place is a gem! Imagine creative creations, on a spoon, made right there at the college, not from a carton. The students at CofO turn the milk from the campus cows to ice cream! You’re also helping support a student get their college degree DEBT FREE! Take a few minutes to walk around College of the Ozarks (Hard Work U!) beautiful campus as well!
Cold treats in the Branson area is no joke! We love great ice cream treats and enjoy sharing it with friends and family! Whether it’s in a cone or a dish, covered in chocolate syrup, or whip cream and a cherry on top, there’s so many cool options for you and your crew! Try some classic ice cream or creamy custard while you visit Ozark Mountain Country!
