Four Local Pizza Places You Have Got to Try!
Pizza evokes strong emotions in most Americans. Thin crust! No mushrooms! Extra cheese! Chicago Deep Dish! Light sauce! Branson, Missouri isn’t known to be a pizza haven, however it has some legit pizza joints! We’re suggesting a few pizza restaurants that are inside and outside of the 65616 that are aaaaamazing! Here’s four pizza places in the area that you’re going to want to hit while visiting us!
Mr. G’s Pizza and Pub is located in Historic Downtown Branson. They specialize in Chicago deep dish style pizza and it is deep, ya’ll! Order the crab rolls as an appetizer for a unique pizza place experience. The crab rolls are popular, made in batches, so when they run out, that’s it! Mr.G’s offers a variety of different pizza combinations, but you can’t beat a specialty, right? The Famous Mr.G has Italian sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushroom, black olives, and sweet peppers! Incredible!
Located in Downtown Hollister is Hook and Ladder Pizza. This pizza joint is firefighter themed and includes a vintage fire truck that you can explore on the backside of this establishment! The owners are volunteer firefighters and they encourage everyone to get involved in your community’s local fire station! Take a few minutes to try on a firefighter’s uniform, from helmet to fireproof gear! When you first walk in, review the menu, and order a great specialty pizza, like Super, or if you like to sweat, The 3 Alarm! You’ll love the variety of specialty pizzas and the fun atmosphere at Hook and Ladder on Historic Downing Street! This is a fun place for the family to enjoy an awesome slice!
La Pizza Cellar is a Taney County favorite! It’s located down the lake from the Branson Landing, around a few bends, in the old resort town of Rockaway Beach. Rockaway Beach was a thriving tourist town until the water turned cold after the building of Table Rock Dam in the 1950s. This little town has revitalization efforts in play right now, but the one thing you can count on is the pizza! Enter La Pizza Cellar’s door at the street and then take the stairs down to the restaurant (it really is a cellar!). Enjoy the BEST pizza in the area…THE BEST! This little place is always hoppin’ and has beer by the bottle or the pitcher. Start off with one of their huge antipasta salads and cheesy bread. Then order a big pie: Chicago-style, St.Louis style, or thin crust. There’s a game room in the back and a jukebox keeps things rockin’! All walks of life come in and out of La Pizza Cellar; locals, bikers, and tourists are all equally welcome! And a head’s up that this establishment allows smoking, but there are different areas where there could be fewer smokers. The pizza is worth the drive and this will be a pizza experience that you will not forget!
Reeds Springs Pizza Company is hands down INCREDIBLE! This pizza is a great stop to make after spending the day on Table Rock. The pies are huge and they have a great selection of specialty pizzas and local beers on tap and in the bottle. Check out their Noodle Bar (call ahead for day and time) and replenish yourself after playing hard! They will flambé your noodles right then and there! Reeds Spring Pizza Company uses the freshest ingredients and are more than pizzas. The calzones and grinders are killer. The staff is always setting the highest standard for excellent service and know how to pair a beer and a pizza! Ask their opinion on their huge craft beer selection! And, if you can’t stay, they have a take and bake option! Reeds Spring Pizza Company is active on Facebook, so you’ll want to follow them for updates on events, like live music!
